The biggest upset of the week belonged to Northport, who took down 243rd ranked Bay Shore, 42-24.
A.j. Otranto and Vantrell Nash provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Longwood. The longest such play in Section 11 Division I this season, the connection resulted in 69 yards.
William Floyd's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Otranto threw for 252 and four touchdowns and Nash had 159 yards receiving. On the ground Chris Faison chipped in 114 yards. Jawan Jenkins helped William Floyd's passing attack out by catching four balls for 73 yards.
The Colonials' Otranto and Nash have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Otranto has thrown for 702 yards this season, while Nash, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 22 catches for 442 yards. Matthias Eato from the Marauders leads the league in rushing with 495 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on Sachem North. As it stands, Northport is in seventh, while Sachem North is in first.
