Basketball Recap: Joseph City Extends Winning Streak to Four

Joseph City waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Chinle Wildcats by a score of 69-56.

Joseph City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cort Miller out in front who posted 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Miller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaimen Tsosie, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 17 points and four steals.

Joseph City is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Chinle, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Joseph City and Ash Fork will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Joseph City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Chinle, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Window Rock at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
