Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Scotlandville Hornets a 22-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Central's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Scotlandville, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Wildcats challenge Pope John Paul II Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scotlandville, they will be playing at home against McDonogh 35 at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
