The Bloomfield Bees lost against the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bloomfield took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elgin/Pope John. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bloomfield in their matchups with Elgin/Pope John: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Bees players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Mackeprang, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Eisenhauer, who scored ten points.
Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Elgin/Pope John, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (St. Mary's is ranked 108th, while Bloomfield is ranked 107th). As for Elgin/Pope John, they will be playing at home against Fullerton on Tuesday. Fullerton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
