The Madison Marlins can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Austin 77-42 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Madison as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Joe Whylie continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Anthony Avalos was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Madison pushed their record up to 18-7 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.6 points per game. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Madison will look to defend their home court on Friday against Milby at 7:00 p.m. Milby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1208th, while Madison is ranked 342nd). As for Austin, they will head out on the road to challenge Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sterling's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
