Volleyball Game Preview: Tucson High Magnet School Badgers vs. Rincon/University Rangers + How To Watch

Tucson High Magnet School and Rincon/University are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2021, but not for long. The Badgers will head out on the road to face off against the Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rincon/University took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tucson High Magnet School, who comes in off a win.

Tucson High Magnet School won the last time they faced Pueblo and Brielle Valencia did her part to make sure it happened again. The Badgers put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday thanks in part to Valencia, who had 17 assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Tucson High Magnet School not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pueblo between 19 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Rincon/University came up short against Marana on Thursday and fell 3-1. While the Rangers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-21 in the first set.

Rincon/University started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-15.

Tucson High Magnet School is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-16 record this season. As for Rincon/University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

Tucson High Magnet School beat Rincon/University 3-1 when the teams last played on October 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
