The Boyd Yellowjackets were the 58-51 winner over the Pilot Point Bearcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Boyd fell to Pilot Point 68-62. Boyd has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payton Boyer, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Robinson, who scored 13 points.
Boyd has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Pilot Point, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyd will take on Callisburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boyd is facing Callisburg at the right time seeing as Callisburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pilot Point, they will be playing at home against Valley View at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
