Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Munford). They breezed past the Overton Wolverines to the tune of  68-0 on Friday. The  win was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after seven games remain undefeated  this season.
 Bricen Turnage continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 162 yards and one  TD on only seven carries. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2024.  Qua Bell was another key back, rushing for 26 yards and a pair of  scores.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Munford was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 425  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 226  rushing yards in 17 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Munford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Turnage,  Kylan Sharp,  and  Brody Materna, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
Munford's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Overton,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-5.
