Tenoroc fell to Poinciana 47-9 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dylan Wright-Sirmon threw for 192 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.
Auburndale made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,849 from 8,700. The improvement was the result of a 45-23 victory over Mulberry last week.
The Eagles' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jonathan Lindstrom threw for 291 and 5 touchdowns and Taron Mallard had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Joshua Lopez contributed 68 yards. Lopez helped Poinciana's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 60 yards.
He went 14-23 with 1 interception.
Lindstrom put up the best numbers in passing as Poinciana defeated Tenoroc. Lindstrom's favorite target this week was Mallard, who caught 5 passes for 98 yards.
Jeff Mathis' team's Lindstrom and Maruice Anglin have formed a dream team this season, leading 5A District 10 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Lindstrom has thrown for 1,505 yards this season, while Anglin has 26 catches for 468 yards. Justin Henderson from Lake Wales leads the league in rushing with 765 yards.
At the moment, the Bloodhounds are in third, while the Highlanders are in first.
