Perry hasn't had much luck against South recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Rebels at 1:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
South will be up against a hot Perry squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Everything went the Pirates' way against Lakeside on Wednesday as they made off with a 30-1 victory. The game marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season so far.
Morgan Winters made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

South's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Perry has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. It's a different story for South, though, as they've only averaged .313. Will they be able to contain Perry's hitters?
Perry came up short against South when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 10-5. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
