The Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Northside Christian Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Zephyrhills Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Grace Christian, taking the game 8-5.

Aubri Falls was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Erin Fennell and Katelynn Blethen did most of the damage at the plate: Fennell scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Blethen scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Shelby Stevanus also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian was not the first on the board two weeks ago, but they got there more often. They skirted past Foundation Christian Academy 12-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Like Zephyrhills Christian Academy, Northside Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Aryah Walters. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Walters was even better at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Rylee White was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy SMith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Northside Christian's record now sits at 6-4. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 13-4 loss they got from Northside Christian when the teams last played back in February. Can Zephyrhills Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
