The Mountain View Eagles will challenge the Elk Lake Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mountain View barely beat Tunkhannock the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Tigers 10-1 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three games in a row.

Jordan Jagger and Hudson Bain made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Jagger struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Bain pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Mountain View is undefeated when Jagger allows one or fewer hits, but 2-6 otherwise. At bat, Jagger got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, while Bain went 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Bain a new career-high.
In other batting news, Josh Miller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Nicholas Beach was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Elk Lake made easy work of Blue Ridge on Thursday and carried off a 14-4 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Brayden Miller spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Alden Felker was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five RBI, two doubles, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Orlandini, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Elk Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
The victory got Mountain View back to even at 6-6. As for Elk Lake, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mountain View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like Elk Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mountain View might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Elk Lake in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
