The Donegal Indians will head out to face off against the Warwick Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Donegal will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Donegal had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Ephrata on Tuesday. The Indians blew past the Mountaineers 12-1. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Jordin Meyers made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Nyah Gibbs and Addy Deville-Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Gibbs went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI, while Deville-Smith went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Deville-Smith has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Madison Coble, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Donegal hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Warwick was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out Penn Manor 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won seven in a row.
Kate Shaak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Emerson Overly was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Peyton Reber was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Donegal's record now sits at 16-5. As for Warwick, their record is now 12-7.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Donegal has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. However, it's not like Warwick struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Donegal's way against Warwick in their previous matchup back in March, as Donegal made off with a 14-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
