They took a serious blow against Falls City/Kings Valley Charter on Thursday, falling 58-13. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McKenzie in their matchups with Falls City/Kings Valley Charter: they've now lost three in a row.
McKenzie got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Aytan Brown and
Masonn Burton, who each put up four points.
McKenzie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Falls City/Kings Valley Charter, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
McKenzie will look to defend their home court on Friday against Powers at 12:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Powers is ranked 25th, while McKenzie is ranked 37th). As for Falls City/Kings Valley Charter, they will square off against Lewis Academy at TBD on Friday.
