Sotomayor is 0-3 against Warren since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Sotomayor WILDCATS will be playing at home against the Warren Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Sotomayor had to suffer through a rough 63-34 loss at the hands of O'Connor. While losing is never fun, Sotomayor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while O'Connor is ranked 123rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Latrell Hoover, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasiah Saunders, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Warren's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They fell 60-50 to Stevens.
Sotomayor's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-17. As for Warren, they dropped their record down to 9-24 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
