The Potlatch Loggers will take on the Kendrick Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Potlatch comes in on 11 and Kendrick on four.
On Monday, Potlatch needed a bit of extra time to put away Troy. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Loggers have posted since May 15, 2024.

Logan Carpenter spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mason Woolverton was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Jay Marshall was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Kendrick made easy work of Genesee on Monday and carried off a 15-4 win. Considering the Tigers have won ten matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Xavier Carpenter, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralli Roetcisoender, who went 1-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Kendrick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Genesee only managed four hits.
Potlatch pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Kendrick, their record is now 13-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Potlatch has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kendrick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Potlatch took their victory against Kendrick in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Loggers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
