Basketball Recap: Marianna Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

If Walton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Marianna, they should've done a better job of containing Mason Mobley. The Marianna Bulldogs came out on top against the Walton Braves by a score of 50-41 on Thursday thanks in part to Mobley, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Kenyon Holden was another key player, putting up ten points. Those ten points gave him a new career-high.

Marianna's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Walton, they moved to 10-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marianna will square off against Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walton, they will take on Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
