Lake Stevens waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the La Canada Spartans. The Vikings were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Spartans, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

Laura Eichert paced Lake Stevens' offense, picking up 12 kills. Eichert got some help from Olivia Gonzales and her 24 assists. Eichert also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kamryn Strom, each putting up two.

Lake Stevens' win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for La Canada, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-18 record this season.

Lake Stevens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Valley Christian on the 11th. As for La Canada, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Blair on the 14th.
