Volleyball Recap: St. Luke's Episcopal Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. Luke's Episcopal, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Davidson Warriors on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

St. Luke's Episcopal was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-11, 23-25, 25-16.

Amelia Smith paced St. Luke's Episcopal's offense, picking up 17 kills. Smith got some help from Baker Garside and her 31 assists. Garside also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lauren Watson, each putting up two.

St. Luke's Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Davidson, they dropped their record down to 13-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, St. Luke's Episcopal and Davidson will both be playing Cottage Hill Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
