Erie had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Frederick Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Erie were the better team in the second half.

Cael Fererra and Beckham Smith scored both of Erie's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.
