The best player on the court between the Parkside Rams and the Crisfield Crabbers on Tuesday ended up on the losing team. Junior Javon Purnell dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds along with five blocks but couldn't prevent a 71-59 defeat to Crisfield. Purnell has also now had at least three blocks in his past seven games. Purnell's points were the most he has had all season. Parkside's loss pushed them down to 7-11. The win was the third in a row for Crisfield and raised their record to 13-4.
Parkside will take on Pocomoke on Thursday. The Rams are at home for the contest, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Crisfield, they will face off against Snow Hill on Thursday. Crisfield won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
