The Curlew Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pateros 86-53 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Curlew as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Logan Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 41 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Logan Ringstad was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Curlew's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Pateros, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Curlew won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Selkirk at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Selkirk is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Pateros, they will head out on the road to face off against Moses Lake Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
