Kenwood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Rossview Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Kenwood was beaten by Clarksville 67-31. While losing is never fun, Kenwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Clarksville is ranked 17th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Yazmine Pearson, who scored 12 points. She scored a full 38.7% of Kenwood's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zakiya White, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Rossview waltzed into Tuesday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Dickson County 54-38.
Kenwood has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 0-7 record. As for Rossview, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Kenwood was dealt a bruising 67-25 defeat at the hands of Rossview in their previous meeting back in February. Can Kenwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
