The Sheldon Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chilhowee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chilhowee took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sheldon, who comes in off a win.
Sheldon posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Bronaugh 61-40. Sheldon pushed the score to 50-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Bronaugh cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Chilhowee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 81-52 defeat at the hands of Otterville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chilhowee in their matchups with Otterville: they've now lost three in a row.
Sheldon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Chilhowee, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Everything came up roses for Sheldon against Chilhowee when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 68-35 win. Does Sheldon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chilhowee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
