They took their matchup on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 57-19 win over St. Edmund Prep. The win was just business as usual for Moore Catholic, who after six games remain undefeated this season.
Moore Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brianna Caliri out in front who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The game was Caliri's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Costanzo, who scored eight points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why St. Edmund Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Priscilla Long. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Coffey, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Moore Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for St. Edmund Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore Catholic and Sacred Heart Academy will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Edmund Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Dominic at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th.
