The Portola Tigers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   72-59  win over Redding Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 Portola got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Connor Sheridan out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 29 points and 16  rebounds. Sheridan is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season.  Liam Bowling was another key contributor,  scoring 19 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Portola has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Redding Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portola will  square off against Burney at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Burney is coming into the  matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Redding Christian, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Chester at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Chester is coming into the  matchup on a four-game losing streak.
