Granada was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in A-8 South - Arkansas Valley (8 Man). The Bobcats beat Cheyenne Wells 50-36 earlier in the week.
Walsh led the league in scoring this week after putting up 74 points on Wiley.
Holly's dynamic duo of Hayden Davis and Colby Salisbury proved tough for Springfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Davis threw for 44 yards and Salisbury had 40 yards receiving. Porter Salisbury helped Holly's passing attack out by catching two balls for 17 yards.
Kody Wallace was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 95 yards as the Panthers fell to the Longhorns. Zane Tempel also contributed to the rushing game with 19 yards on the ground.
Holly's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Christian Orozco has thrown for 449 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Salisbury has 20 catches for 213 yards. Jason Barth leads the league in rushing with 281 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Springfield takes on the Tigers. At the moment, J.J. Quick's team is in third, while Cheyenne Wells is in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Longhorns take on Sam Mitchek's team. Springfield has allowed 74 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 96. The Longhorns allowed 6 points last week as they bested Holly.
