Even though Chicopee Comp has not done well against Pittsfield recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Chicopee Comp came out on top against Pittsfield by a score of 72-64.
Meanwhile, West Springfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of Commerce by a score of 66-64.
Chicopee Comp pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Things could have been worse for Chicopee Comp, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-33 loss to West Springfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2022.
