The Union County Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Daleville on the road to the tune of 65-30. The victory was familiar territory for Union County who now have three in a row.
Union County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peityn Gillman, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Gillman scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Katie McCashland, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Daleville still got an impressive performance from Isabelle Williams, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Union County's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Daleville, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Union County will head out on the road to square off against Cambridge City Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Daleville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m.
