The Carver Montgomery Wolverines pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell  67-57 to Douglass.
 Carver Montgomery's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Conor McPherson, who  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds. The  game was  McPherson's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Zander Frazier, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds.
 Douglass' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Noah Treadwell led the charge by  scoring 21 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which  Treadwell has scored at least 25% of Douglass' points.  Rj Winegarner was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 15 points and 13  rebounds.
 Carver Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Douglass, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
 Carver Montgomery is on the road again  on Thursday and play against Fort Walton Beach at 4:30  p.m.  on December 28th. Hopefully Fort Walton Beach focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. Douglass won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Clay County at 7:30  p.m.  on December 28th.
