Rosman extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost 12-1 to the Andrews Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-9 on Tuesday.
Rosman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Henderson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Mason Bell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
As for Andrews, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Considering they have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
On Andrews' side, Ethan Sutton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Sutton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Shular, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Hyde, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Rosman has already played their next game, a 14-3 loss against Owen on the 18th. As for Andrews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Robbinsville on the 20th.
