The Indian Creek Redskins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over Harrison Central. Given Indian Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Harrison Central is ranked 718th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKenna Scott, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight steals. Scott hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Anderson, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Indian Creek's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Harrison Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will take on St. Clairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Clairsville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Harrison Central, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Beaver and Harrison Central are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
