Dothan extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 10-1. They came out on top against the Pinson Valley Indians by a score of 77-69. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Indians are ranked 30th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

As for Pinson Valley, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), they still had to take the loss.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylen 'Tay' Johnson, who shot 60% from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points. Johnson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalen 'JP' Pritchett, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 19 points and five boards.

Dothan has already played their next matchup, a 62-51 victory against Austin on the 13th. Pinson Valley has also already played their next contest (against Gainesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
