After flying high against the West Nassau Warriors last Friday, The Baldwin Indians came back down to earth. Baldwin fell 18-7 to Ribault on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Baldwin couldn't push the score so high this time.
When it comes to explaining why Baldwin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Neshawn Jacobs. Despite the final result, he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown. Jacobs is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Among those leading the charge was Timothy Cole, who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Ribault also got help from Jahrod Shaw who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Ribault, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will take on ED White at 6:30 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Ribault, they will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Riverside at 6:30 p.m. Riverside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ribault in Florida (Riverside is ranked 77th, while Ribault is ranked 240th).
