Nimitz dropped down to 7-4 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 66-22 loss at the hands of the Eastwood Troopers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since January 31st.

As for Eastwood, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points on average over those games.

Eastwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Victoria Duran, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Duran has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Ortega, who went 7-for-9 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

Nimitz wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-15 win against Western Hills on the 24th. As for Eastwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 85-23 victory against El Paso on the 2nd.
