It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Highland had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Griffith Panthers an 11-0 shutout. The win (which was Highland's third in a row) raised their record to 18-11. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Griffith, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.
