A feisty cat fight will be fought as Marana Tigers challenge Cienega Bobcats at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Marana will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Marana will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Vista Grande, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Marana came out on top against Vista Grande by a score of 15-12 on Tuesday.

Bella Corona made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cadence Beck, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bella Sayre was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Marana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Cienega didn't have quite enough to beat Mica Mountain on Tuesday and fell 7-6.
Micaela Valenzuela made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5. Allison Mullen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Cienega's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marana, their record is now 9-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Marana hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Cienega struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
