The Marion County Eagles posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Central 45-15 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Marion County has posted against Central since January 15, 2019.
Marion County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Ellington out in front who scored 12 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellington has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Valencia Alridge, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Marion County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion County will take on Schley County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Schley County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Central, they will be playing at home against Webster County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Webster County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
