Those two RBI gave Lach a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin McMahon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Anchor Bay always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as L'Anse Creuse North only posted an OBP of .281.
Meanwhile, Sterling Heights Stevenson unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Chippewa Valley, falling 9-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.
Sterling Heights Stevenson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Leonard, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Anchor Bay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
