The Rockwood Rockets will head out on the road to take on Fannett Metal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rockwood has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Fannett Metal will arrive with four straight wins.
Rockwood struggled with assists on Wednesday (Claysburg-Kimmel had 14 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Rockwood ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-40 walloping at the hands of Claysburg-Kimmel.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Zander Ritenour, who scored 13 points along with six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. Christian Schrock was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fannett Metal scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Belleville Mennonite at home to the tune of 82-49.
Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Fannett Metal, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Rockwood was taken down by Fannett Metal 57-11 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Rockwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
