The Carmel Greyhounds lost against the Hamilton Southeastern Royals back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Carmel took a 59-42 bruising from Hamilton Southeastern.
Hamilton Southeastern was led to victory by Kayla Stidham and Maya Makalusky. Stidham scored 17 points, while Makalusky scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Stidham's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Holman, who scored 6 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hamilton Southeastern, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carmel will take on Lawrence North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia City at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia City will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
