After a dominant win in their contest last week, Gate City was humbled on Friday. They came up short against Central, falling 35-21. Gate City's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Gate City's overall record now falls to 4-6. The victory (their fourth in a row) raised Central's record to 7-2.
The Blue devils do not have any more games currently scheduled. Central is on the road again next week and plays against Grundy at 7 p.m. ET. Central doesn't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
