Northwestern has gone a perfect 9-0 against Cameron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will head out to challenge the Comets at 4:00 p.m. Northwestern's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Cameron's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Northwestern had just enough and edged out Spooner 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Ellie Peterson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Claire Nielsen was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Lillie Casper also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
While Cameron didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Chetek-Weyerhaeuser with a sharp 14-3 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Emerson Krahenbuhl spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Cameron let Brylee Viltz and Grace Dexter run wild. Viltz went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Dexter went 3-for-5 with six stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Viltz has posted since back in April of 2024. Mallory Duerkop was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base.
Cameron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chetek-Weyerhaeuser only managed four hits.
Northwestern's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Cameron, their record is now 7-4.
Northwestern took their win against Cameron when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
