On Tuesday, Julian was the victim of a rough 49-29 loss at the hands of The Cambridge School. While losing is never fun, Julian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while The Cambridge School is ranked 65th).
Carlo Martinez and Kenny Morytko certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Martinez scored 15 points along with 3 blocks, while Morytko scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Morytko has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.
This is the second loss in a row for Julian and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for The Cambridge School, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Julian will take on Mountain Empire at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mountain Empire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. The Cambridge School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against San Diego Academy at 5:30 p.m. on November 29th.
