The St. Ignatius Bulldogs's ten-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Superior and snuck past 42-39. That looming 42-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for St. Ignatius yet this season.
Leading St. Ignatius to victory were Lex LaFrombois and Landon C walks over ice. LaFrombois scored 12 points along with two steals, while C walks over ice scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Vincent Shepard was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds.
St. Ignatius' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thompson Falls the next time they take the court. Superior will host Thompson Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Ignatius will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
