The Star Valley Braves entered their tilt with the Green River Wolves with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Star Valley took down Green River 58-43 on Saturday. This was payback for Star Valley, who suffered a 56-55 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Kenlee Engelhardt, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. Engelhardt is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheridan Coles, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Star Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Green River, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Star Valley will challenge Cody at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cody will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Green River will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Rock Springs at 4:30 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Rock Springs is ranked 37th, while Green River is ranked 30th).
