Even though the Pike Red Devils scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Ben Davis Giants still came out on top. Ben Davis walked away with a 63-55 victory over Pike. This was payback for Ben Davis, who suffered a 45-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Ben Davis found their leader in underclassman Aleia Sultzer, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sultzer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zoe Wheeler, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Ben Davis' victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Pike, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Davis the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Lawrence North at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Pike will take on Brownsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
