DePaul Cristo Rey's loss came despite strong showings from Britain Starks and Christian Taylor-Thomas. Starks scored 14 points, while Taylor-Thomas scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor-Thomas has scored all season.
Spencer Center's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencer Center will face off against Norwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Norwood is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they will head out on the road to take on Riverview East Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
