Given Goshen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Clinton-Massie is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Goshen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Zeinner led the charge by scoring 30 points. Zeinner has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Conner Moore was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Goshen's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Clinton-Massie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Wilmington at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Clinton-Massie will take on Batavia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Batavia is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
