South Plaquemines has enjoyed the comforts of home their last nine games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Tara Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
South Plaquemines suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-33 loss at the hands of Phoenix. South Plaquemines has not had much luck with Phoenix recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Tara's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Slidell on the road and fell 78-45. While losing is never fun, Tara can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Slidell is ranked 82nd).
South Plaquemines has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Tara, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-16.
